CKD Stewardship Team

Our multi-disciplinary team consists of experienced Kidney Nurse Consultants, Nephrologists, GPs and clinician researchers.

Dr Lucy Wynter is a nephrologist and Clinical Academic at Concord and Canterbury Hospitals and the clinical lead and architect of CKD-S.

Carmen Moroney, who has more than 20 years dialysis and CKD experience, is our CKD-Stewardship Clinical Nurse Consultant.

Dr Lilijana Gorringe, a Senior Lecturer with the Concord Clinical School, University of Sydney, is our General Practice lead.

Rowena Monteverde (Renal Case Manager), Lisa Tienstra  (Kidney CNC) and Dr John Saunders (nephrologist) are our "first adopters" and have been running CKD-Stewardshin in the Sydney Local Health District since 2024.

Our research team is led by Dr Lucy Wynter, Professor Meg Jardine, Dr Brendan Smyth,  Dr John Saunders, A/Prof Mel Wyld and Professor Steve Chadban with many more contributors from across the University of Sydney.
